Welcome to the Ralls County Sheriff’s Office’s website. Ralls County covers an area of 481 square miles in northeast Missouri along the Mississippi River. Ralls County was organized November 16, 1820 and named in honor of Daniel Ralls, Missouri State Legislator. Ralls County includes several municipalities including Hannibal, Center, Perry, Monroe City, and New London which is the County Seat. Along with patrolling these areas, our office is also the primary law enforcement in the unincorporated towns of Rensselaer, Saverton, Madisonville, Hassard, Huntington, Spalding, Liberty Township, the Mark Twain Lake area, and the 451 miles of Ralls County gravel roads.
The Ralls County Sheriff’s Office is led by Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie. Sheriff Dinwiddie was elected in 2012 and has over 20 years of law enforcement and management experience.
